This week my mom joins me on the podcast for a very special Mother's Day edition episode (and because it's AAPI Heritage Month)!! Maria Chloe Baloco Sarmiento, is 55 years young. She is a nurse, a world traveler, and of course my hardworking and caring mom. We dive deep today and ask a lot of questions of which I never had the answers to before. Why did she come to the US? How was the immigration process for her? How did she feel giving birth without any family in the country close by to support her? In what ways were her multiple miscarriages challenging? What is her favorite thing about being a mom? What is her wish for all of her children as we get into relationships, move away, and get older?
